How to get to Pie de la Cuesta

Pie de la Cuesta is 30-45 minutes from central Acapulco, via the scenic road to Coyuca de Benítez. Here's the concrete info so you don't get lost.

From Acapulco airport (ACA)

45 minutes by taxi. Approximate cost $700-900 MXN (one trip up to 4 people with luggage). For larger groups, vans for 8-15 people, proportional cost.

From CDMX by air

Direct flights CDMX-ACA in 1 hour by Volaris, Aeroméxico, VivaAerobús. Typical fares $1,500-3,500 MXN round trip depending on advance. Then: the taxi described above.

From CDMX by road

4-5 hours via the Autopista del Sol (México - Acapulco). Tolls cost ~$700 MXN one-way. Pie de la Cuesta is 30 minutes before downtown Acapulco — exit at "Pie de la Cuesta / Coyuca de Benítez".

If driving: the highway has unlit sections. We recommend arriving in daylight (not after 8 PM).

From abroad

Most common: arrive at CDMX (AICM or AIFA) and connect to a domestic flight to Acapulco. There are also direct international flights to Acapulco from Houston (UA), LAX (AS), and Toronto (AC/WS) in high season (December-March).
